Bobbins click, threads cross, and a pattern that’s centuries old starts to take shape under your fingers. Lace-making has been part of French craft tradition for generations. This workshop gives you a real, hands-on introduction to it. You make the lace yourself.
Your instructor is a working artisan who still makes lace the traditional way. She is happy to walk beginners through it step by step: how to set up the bobbins, read a pattern, and keep an even tension as the piece grows. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a small piece of your own lace to take home.
It takes place at the château, so there’s no travel involved. Just pull up a chair.
